COURSE DESCRIPTION
A course designed for aspiring songwriters who are looking to develop their skills in crafting engaging, memorable songs. The course will cover the fundamental principles of songwriting, including melody, structure, and lyrics.
Students will learn about the various forms and structures used in popular songwriting, as well as how to craft compelling melodies and chord progressions. The course will also cover the role of lyrics in a song and how to use language effectively to convey emotion and meaning.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to practice their songwriting skills through in-class exercises and assignments, as well as through the analysis and critique of popular songs. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in the principles of songwriting and will be able to craft their own original songs with confidence.
